Our Corporate Social Responsibility encompasses our Charity of Choice and Destination Green programs. Crown Christchurch activities center around The Salvation Army where we “give back” to families in need, by supporting the local food bank with priority cartons generously donated by our customers and staff. In recognition of Crown’s efforts in 2013, The Salvation Army presented Crown New Zealand with its ‘Valued Partner Award’. Staff members have also volunteered their time to support the annual Lions Book Fair.

Our Destination Green program is about caring for our environment by planting trees with Living Legends and cleaning beaches through Keeping New Zealand Beautiful. Destination Green committees around New Zealand initiate programs designed to reduce our consumption of natural resources through recycling, re-using and promoting effective waste management. An estimated reduction of 30% fuel and emissions has been achieved by the introduction of hybrid cars and trucks into our vehicle fleet.
