A big number expats choose their moving destination not only by the professional opportunities, they also look at quality of life, particularly on the climate and typical weather conditions that an international relocation destination has to offer. This might surely be the case also for people living in Germany who want to live the sunny life. In fact, according to the recent Expat Insider survey conducted by InterNations among 14000 members, Germany has been rated only on position 51 (from 64 countries) as preferred moving destination regarding its climate. In general, expats across the world gave high weather ratings for destinations in the Mediterranean parts of Europe, South America and Africa, while spots in North America, Asia and Oceania ranked lower. Here are the top ten positions of the best moving destinations regarding weather and related quality of life: 1. Costa Rica 71 percent of the survey respondents living there rated climate as very good. 2. Cyprus Cyprus weather has been by 69 percent of expats as very good. 3. Greece 76 percent of expats in Greece rate the climate there as very good, however, due to other quality of life factors, Greece made it “only” to position 3. 4. Malta Malta’s weather is appreciated by 68 percent of the respondents. 5. Uganda Uganda made it also into the top 5 for delightful weather conditions. 6. Kenya The second African country that made it into the top ten for quality of life with special emphasis on weather. 7. Spain Mild Mediterranean climate places Spain on 7th position, 51 percent of expats in Spain rate leisure activities as very good. 8. South Africa Sunny weather and high quality of natural environment lead to a top ten position for South Africa. 9. Mexico 55 percent of the expat respondents rate the climate in Mexico as very good. 10. Portugal Another Mediterranean country that made it into the top 10 for quality of life and weather is Portugal.
