If you have plans of moving from Spain to a new international location, and if you have kids, then you should read the Expat Insider 2015 survey by Internations. The results have recently been released. According to the responses from expats from countries all over the world, Austria is considered the most popular country among expat families. Austria is followed by Finland and Sweden as top international moving destination for families, as these countries impress with the cost and availability of childcare & education. Israel and New Zealand are ranked on 4th and 5th position, as they have ratings in particular in terms of the general well-being of expat families. Austria has reached the highest ranking in 2015, moving up from the fourth position in the 2014’s survey. This top ranking is partly due to its outstanding availability of childcare and education. Expats with children in Austria are also very much satisfied with the low costs of education (82 percent) and its quality in general (92 percent). In addition, Austria is rated high regarding available leisure activities for kids and regarding health & safety for kids. A very high scoring was received for the aspect of family life in general, which is seen positive by 95% of expats in Austria. On the other hand, this survey also gives findings regarding countries that are considered not very attractive for families: Saudi Arabia is perceived to be the least attractive country to live for expats with families: 16 percent of survey participants are generally dissatisfied with the general well-being of their children in Saudi Arabia. Two percent of expats with kids are even completely unhappy with this. Brazil, Turkey, Qatar and Oman have also a low score in this survey for the year 2015. The results from 41 countries cover the Family Life Index 2015. In order to get considered in this survey, each country needed over 30 survey respondents who were raising their kids abroad.
