How to obtain a long term Visa for Mexican employees in Spain

How to get this Visa:

  1. In Spain, the Spanish employer together with Crown Relocations apply for the work permit, when the immigration authority approves it, Crown Relocations sends it to Crown in Mexico.
  2. Crown Mexico sends all the documents to the Spanish Consulate in Mexico, with the previous approval of the Spanish authorities and the documents from Mexico and applies for the Work and Resident Visa; it should be issued in 3 months. After having the visa the employee can go to Spain.
     
What you cannot do in Spain: work for your own or set your own business.
What Crown Relocations will do: In Spain, prepare all the paper work in order to apply to the Spanish authorities for the work and residence permit. In Mexico, collect and prepare all the documentation necessary to apply for the visa at the Spanish consulate. Once in Spain, go with the employee to the Police in order to get the resident card.
Important: All the documents have to be translated to Spanish by an official translator and legalized. Crown Relocations can supply a translator.

Documents required for transnational employees:
Company in Mexico:

  • Public document that identifies the firm and tax number (can be included in the power of attorney)
  • Legal representative in Spain - By a legalized Power of attorney in Mexico.
  • Contract between firm and the employee that proves that the employee who is coming to Spain has been working at least 1 year with the company in Mexico.
  • Where no social security agreement exists between the sending country and Spain the employee will need to move on to Spanish social security and the following documents will need to be issued in Spain; Nonresident’s CIF of the Mexican firm, Spanish Social security account number, power of attorney of the legal representative of the company in Spain.
  • Letter from the Mexican firm explaining the project and the job the employee does and how long he/she has been working there.

Company in Spain:

  • Legal documents of the firm and tax number
  • Contract with the Mexican firm
  • Business project explaining the reason why they want to hire the employee/s. Description of the job, salary and length of the project.
  • Certificate from Tax Office saying that they are up to date with their social security payments.

Employee:

  • Passport
  • Qualification /CV
  • Other documents might be required
