According to the HSBC Expat Explorer 2016 report, expats like Spain’s way of life. They consider it the best place to be in the Lifestyle country league table. Open-minded, welcoming, easy-going… These are some of the adjectives that we tend to relate with Spain. Now, the results of the latest HSBC Expat Explorer survey seem to confirm this. Spain is the second country in the best experiences ranking and the first one in the lifestyle one. Expatriates have valued aspects like the quality of life, friendships and how easy it is to meet people and integrate with the locals. In particular, 56% of the expats in Spain said they relocated there to improve their quality of life, in comparison with a 32% of the expats globally. Moreover, 73% of the expats in Spain stated that they have positively immersed into the local culture, which it is also higher than the global average of 63%. The Expat Explorer Survey has interviewed more than 27,000 expats from 190 countries to learn more about their expat experiences and it measures three different aspects of the expat life (economy, experience, and family). In the overall country league table, Spain is in the 16th position, the Czech Republic is the first European country on the table. According to the expats' interviews, Singapore is the best country to live, followed by New Zealand and Canada.
