Citizens from the EU intending to live in Sweden for over three months for work or study purposes, no longer need to register their right of residence with the Swedish Migration Board. However, all EU citizens intending to stay in Sweden for longer than three months for work purposes, must register and obtain a social security number at the Tax Authority (Skatteverket).
