Why do we relocate to a certain destination and not to another? The list is unlimited and depends on many factors such as personal interests, family or…. Gender! Indeed, the last Expat Insider survey done by InterNations has identified several common preferences regarding the best countries to relocate for men and for women. So which are the best countries to move for working women? Certainly not the big ones. Luxembourg, Taiwan and Germany are the top three, which are highly appreciated by females for the job security that they offer. Hungary is fourth and despite the fact that 43% of the expat women in Hungary are earning less that they would do in their home countries, the country offers good career opportunities for them as well as a good work-life balance. However, men might not feel the same way, as they ranked Hungary in a middle position in the ranking of best countries to live. And where is Switzerland? Switzerland occupies 22nd position in the ranking of best places to live, just after the USA but before other countries such as Sweden, Japan and Italy.
