Moving is a stressful time, especially for our furry friends. Among the flurry of cardboard boxes and packing tape, it can be easy to lose track of your pet(s). If you’re moving on your own, it can be hard to manage the entire process, while also keeping an eye on your pet and making sure every door or window has not been left open. Dunlap said, “Moving and making sure I didn’t leave anything behind was stressful enough. If something happened to my cat in the process, I would have been devastated. Replacing furniture and knick knacks is easy, but you can’t just replace my cat, she’s a part of my family.”
How much are we really saving?
The number one reason most people decide to move on their own is cost, but how much are you really saving instead of hiring a professional mover? Most people think the only expense you incur moving on your own is the truck rental but that is not always the case. Cardboard boxes, packing tape, packing paper, truck rental, mileage charges, gas, and time off work can often add up to more than simply hiring a moving company to do it all for you.
